The Berkshire Theatre Group is presenting Hair at the Unicorn Theatre through August 11. This landmark musical was originally performed in the 1960’s when social change was happening against the background of an unpopular war. Contributing to the war’s unpopularity was television coverage which brought the war into people’s living rooms. Since then, our wars have been depicted with less carnage. Watching Hair, one is aware of difference and similarities between then and now.
Bob and I talk about some of this in our discussion.
