Nunsense is the second longest running off-Broadway show  after The Fantasticks.  Audiences have enjoyed it so much, there have been a number of sequels. The Dorset Players will be presenting this delightful musical comedy for two weekends, October 9-11 and October 16-18. The Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and the Sunday performances are at 2:00. This is the story of the five remaining nuns of the Little Sisters of Hoboken. All the rest of the order have been accidentally poisoned by their cook’s vichyssoise.  The surviving sisters need to raise money to bury the last four  sisters who have not already been interred. They decide to do this by putting on a variety show.  Since they need to do it on the stage of a local high school, which is putting on quite a different play, the fun begins.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Angie Merwin, the director and Gary Schmidt,  the musical director. As with all musicals the performers need to have many skills and the group has been rehearsing the music and the dancing along with their acting.
