A Little More Alive is playing on the St. Germain Stage down at Barrington Stage in Pittsfield until August 8. When we interview people, it is sometimes before a show opens and sometimes after. In this case, we interviewed Van Hughes and Michael Tacconi the day that they were opening. As with many of the new musical productions at the St. Germain Stage, changes were happening right up until opening night. When we saw the production recently and told them how much we enjoyed their performances, they assured us that this production was finally set and there were no new changes.
Besides enjoying their performances and those of the rest of the talented cast, we liked the movable set and the projections that are so much a part of the story as it unfolds. The intimacy of the St. Germain stage is also a plus in engaging the audience.
